The best time to start is now

Executive Functions are the part of our brains that help us make decisions. When we are stressed, anxious, exhausted, and depressed, our executive functions are weakened. Dyslexia, ADHD, and other neurodiversity also affect our Executive Function Skills. Working with a professional coach helps to improve organization, task initiation, impulse control, planning, prioritization, time awareness, metacognition, emotional regulation, and goal-directed persistence.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! I actually built my practice to make space for adults in the Executive Function Coaching world. I love helping my adult clients navigate their professional and personal lives.

  • If you need to cancel a session, please be sure to cancel it at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session, the session will be billed as usual. I understand that emergencies happen, so I handle those on a case-by-case basis.

  • Improvement varies with each individual client. A shift may be noticeable within a few weeks, especially if there is a will and desire for change. Typically, coaching can last anywhere from 6-18 months, with options for bi-annual check-ins in perpetuity to keep you on track.

  • Unfortunately, insurance does not cover executive function coaching, but you can use your HSA or FSA funds directly through WizTherapy. Detailed billing summaries are available for each session, including onboarding assessments.

  • Apostrophe supports rising high school seniors with goal setting, planning, task initiation, and follow-through in the entire college process from the beginning of the search through their first semester on campus. We let the college experts help your child decide which schools will be the best choice for those goals and plans.

  • While success is never guaranteed, children and tweens who have yet to harness their reading skills can learn in a safe, fun, and supported atmosphere that goes at their pace, takes into account their challenges (ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Anxiety, etc), and builds a multi-sensory curriculum based on Orton Gillingham + around their personality and interests. This hands-on, heart-centered approach has helped multiple kids who thought they would never truly learn to read.

  • OG+ is a multi-sensory, multi-year program that synthesizes the best practices from multiple OG methodologies. It requires frequent practice and consistency, with multiple sessions per week if possible, depending upon the level of need.

  • No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to benefit from OG+. It is a fantastic way to build phonological awareness and fluency for all learners.

  • No. I have found that clients feel boxed in by packages. While I appreciate at least 30 days' notice before stopping treatment, working with Apostrophe and improving yourself should be a consistent and active choice. It is the intentionality of the work you do outside our sessions that makes the results happen.

  • Besides the initial onboarding session, most sessions are typically paid through WizTherapy after the session. You may also pay via check or cash at the beginning of the session if you are seeing me at the office locally.
